Daniel W. "Danny" Henson

Daniel (Danny) W. Henson, 69, of Salem went home to be with the Lord Sunday, August 29, 2021. He was preceded by his parents, Herbert Henson and Frances Cole Henson.

Danny retired after 45 years of service with the Kroger Company. He was a member of Hope Bible Church and the Salem Camera Club.

Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth "Beth" Testerman Henson; step children, Marty Robinette (Jeff); and Glenna Zimmerman; grandchildren, Sophia Robinette Matney (Clay) and Dustin Zimmerman.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to Hope Bible Church 5512 Hollins Road Roanoke, VA 24019.

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Friday, September 3, 2021 at Simpson Funeral Home 5160 Peters Creek Road by Pastor Don Eshelman. Entombment will follow in Old Dominion Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday at Simpson Funeral Home. 366-0707
