Vincent John Ardito, Sr.

Vincent John Ardito, Sr., 89 of Bedford, passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Runk & Pratt Health & Rehab in Forest, VA. He was born on Tuesday, May 24, 1932 in Jersey City, NJ, a son of the late Nicholas Ardito and Emily Ruggier Ardito. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Betty Edna Allgood Ardito, daughters, Rita Lockwood, Gwenda Kleva as well as two sisters and three brothers.

He was retired owner/operator and mechanic of Vince Auto and Truck Repair in Bricktown, NJ and was a member of Pecks Baptist Church and a veteran of the U. S. Army.

He is survived by his sons, Vincent Ardito, Jr., & wife, Jeffrey Ann, William Edward Ardito; his daughter, Brenda McDaniel & husband, Shawn; his grandchildren, Matthew, Anna, Emilia, Kim, Shawn, Brandi, Ceray, Tonya, Joanna, Tim, John and Tony as well as twenty-one great grandchildren and eleven great great grandchildren and his son-in-law, Joe Kleva.

The family will receive friends on Monday, September 13, 2021 beginning at 1 PM at Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford and a funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:00 pm with Rev. Bryan Sheehan officiating. Interment will follow in Greenwood Cemetery.
