Carolyn Wood Hubbard

Carolyn Wood Hubbard, 63 of Bedford, passed away Saturday, September 11, 2021 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital. She was born on Friday, August 29, 1958 in Bedford County, VA, a daughter of Raymond Earl Wood and Carrie Sperberg Wood of Bedford who survive.

Carolyn loved her family more than anything in this world . She was a loving wife, and a dutiful daughter. Her three children were her pride and joy, and her seven grandbabies were her absolute crown jewels. She was an artist, a crafter, and a master quilter. Her creativity and imagination knew no bounds. She had a servants heart, and a constant yearning to heal and nurture the broken. Her love of the Lord, and her salvation in Jesus was apparent to anyone she met. She spent her whole life giving, loving, and laughing to the delight of many. She touched so many people in her brief time on earth, and will be sorely missed by all she encountered.

In addition to her father & mother, she is survived by her husband, Michael B. Hubbard; her sons, Jared Hubbard & wife, Cheryl, Dustin Hubbard & wife, Brandy; her daughter, Ashton Reed & husband, Justin; her brother, Thomas E. Wood; her mother-in-law, Mary C. Hubbard as well as her grandchildren, Samantha, Amelia, Trevor, Vayla, Tristan, Bristol & Daisy.

A celebration of Life service to honor Carolyn will be held at a later date.
