Brett Thomas Shelton

It is with great sadness that the family of Brett Thomas Shelton, 27, of Roanoke, VA, announce that Brett passed away on Monday, September 20, 2021. He was preceded in death by his father, William Scott Shelton.
Brett was born on October 9, 1993 in Mebane, North Carolina to Scott and Kelly Shelton. He graduated from Northside High School in 2014. Brett was a kind and gentle person who was always willing to help friends and family. Brett was passionate about music and would often share his love of music with others. He enjoyed hiking, traveling, and afternoon rides on his Harley Davidson’s motorcycle. Brett enjoyed working as a CNA and demonstrated compassion and understanding when caring for his patients. Brett loved animals and will especially be missed by his dog, Chloe.
Brett is survived by his mother, Kelly Shelton; sister, Caroline Shelton; grandparents, Ann and Walt Shelton; aunt, Donna Layman; uncles, Timmy Shelton and David Shelton, his girlfriend, Alissa Edwards, and many cousins.
The family will be holding a Celebration of Life Service on Saturday, October 2nd at 11:00am at Shenandoah Baptist Church, 6520 Williamson Rd, Roanoke, VA 24019.
