Milan Jordon "Shug" Payne

Milan Jordon "Shug" Payne, age 10 of  Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, July 11, 2019 at  Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  He was born on Tuesday, September 30, 2008 in Petersburg, a son of Cecil Holden and Malaka Payne.  He was also preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, James L. Payne, Sr., & a cousin, Serenity Payne  
In addition to his mother, he is survived by his brothers, Malik R. Rankins, Miles A. Payne; his maternal grandmother, Emily L. Payne; his uncle, James L. Payne, Jr.; his aunts, Anitra L. Payne, Francis N. Barker & his cousins, Imahni, Tristan, Cameron, James Payne III,  Devin Burks.  
Funeral services will be held at 2 PM on Tuesday, July 16, 2019 at Updike Funeral Chapel, Bedford with Rev. Jay Logan officiating.   Arrangements are being handled by Updike Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Bedford.
