Lucy Virginia Cox East

Lucy Virginia Cox East, 85, of Bassett, Virginia passed away Wednesday, October 27, 2021, at Carilion Roanoke Memorial. She was born March 17, 1936, in Lynch Station, Virginia to the late Wyatt Reid Cox and Lockie West Cox. She was a member of Druid Hills Baptist Church and had worked for Hooker Furniture for over thirty years. She enjoyed making crafts, listening to country music and NASCAR racing. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Raymond Bill East; sisters, Elizabeth Marsh and Catherine Fox; brothers, Richard Cox, Arnold Cox. Harry Cox, Doug Cox, Milton Cox, John Cox, Pete Cox and Dike Cox.

She is survived by her daughters, Patsy Rico (Alberto) and Vicky Wood (Laine); son, Ricky East (Lillian); grandchildren, Erica Hall, Desiree Young, Gregory Wood and Berto Rico (Kaylee); and great-grandchildren, Ashton Wood, Bella Young, Raelynn Rico and Jaxson Rico.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at 4:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
