Bernice Gertrude Hunnicutt

Bernice Gertrude Hunnicutt, 75, of Bassett, passed away on Wednesday, November 3, 2021 in the Carilion Franklin Memorial Hospital.  She was born in Nottoway County, VA on July 5, 1946 to the late Daniel Webster Paugh and the late Bernice Arrington Paugh.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, David Lynwood Hunnicutt and grandson, David Leon Hunnicutt..
Bernice is survived by her daughters, Tiana Robin Hunnicutt Martin and Teresa Hunnicutt Underwood; grandchildren, Tiana Victoria Hunnicutt (Wayne DeHart), Crystal Fretwell, Shayne Hill, Christopher Hill and Melody Underwood; great-granddaughters, Nylla, Amber, Karen and Ava; great-grandsons, Will and Jacob; brothers, Harold Paugh and Bill Paugh; sister, Janet Beaver; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
The family will receive friends Sunday, November 7, 2021 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel.  A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 8, 2021 at 1:00 PM in the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel.
The family would like to offer special thanks to everyone who helped with various medical care and transportation.
