Diane Payne Su

Diane Payne Su, 65, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away Thursday, November 11, 2021 at her residence. She was born February 14, 1956 in Henry, Virginia, to the late James Henry Payne and Mezzie Hairston Payne. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Nancy L. Hairston and Barbara J. Payne; and brothers, James D. Payne and William H. Payne.

She graduated from Fieldale-Collinsville High School and attended St. James Pentecostal Holiness Church. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and watching her favorite TV programs.

Diane is survived by her husband, Phi Vay Su; daughter, Valerie Nicole Harper; son, James D. Harper; sisters, Peggy Wade (Roger) and Betty Johnson (Curtis); and grandchildren, Tayshiem, Jayden and Davion Harper.

The funeral will be on Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at 1:00 PM, at The Assembly Building, with Elder Bobby Agnew officiating. Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Payne Family Cemetery, 3345 Columbus Drive, Bassett, Virginia.
