Dana Doss Beckhouse

Dana Doss Beckhouse, 47, of Old Grist Mill Road, Appomattox, died Saturday, November 13, 2021, at her residence. She was the loving wife of Chris Beckhouse.

Born in Lynchburg, April 17, 1974, she was the daughter of Wanda Ferguson and Dennis Edwin Doss. Dana was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where she served in the nursery, helped with Bible school and the sound equipment room. She was a Long-Term Care Estate Resolution Representative for Genworth.

In addition to her husband and parents, she is survived by two children; Ava Beckhouse and Chase Beckhouse of Appomattox; and grandfather, Harry T. Ferguson.

She was preceded in death by her maternal grandmother, Mary Ferguson; father-in-law, Larry Beckhouse; mother-in-law, Elizabeth Beckhouse; paternal grandmother, Margie Doss Reider; and grandfather, Henry “Dee” Doss.

A funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, November 16, 2021, at New Hope Baptist Church with Rev. Ron Moore and Pastor Art Cavanaugh officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church.
