M. Ruth Meadors, age 95, of Virginia Beach, Virginia passed away on Thursday, November 11, 2021. M. Ruth was born May 19, 1926.

Ms. Meadors was a resident of Portsmouth, Virginia. She worked for 30 years as a night telephone operator for Lee Telephone., She enjoyed needle crafts, puzzles, word searches, basket weaving and spending time with her family.
She was predeceased by her parents, Harry Talmage Meadors and Rosa Maude Carter Meadors, sister, Mae Meadors Haynes and her grandson, Joseph T. Adams.
She is survived by her sons James A. Adams, Jr. (Brenda) of Portsmouth and Talmage B. Thomas (Pam) of Fieldale; Grandchildren, Winde Adams-Witt (Adam) and Arthur Adams (Starsha) and 5 Great Granddaughters.
Services will be at McKee Stone Funeral Home, 109 Broad Street, Martinsville, VA 24112 on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at 10:30 AM with visitation one hour prior. Interment will be private.
