Margaret Evelyn Wood Coleman

Margaret Evelyn Coleman, 83, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Friday, November 19, 2021. She was born July 19, 1938, in Patrick County, Virginia, to the late Harry Edwin Wood and Nannie Biggs Wood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Coleman; son, Robert Coleman; sisters, Mary Freeman and Elizabeth Brinegar; granddaughter, Charly Coleman; and great-grandson, Greyson Coleman.

She was a member of Mayo Baptist Church. She loved people and everyone in the community knew her. She also loved sewing, and spending time with and nourishing children.

Margaret is survived by her daughters, Delores Lawrence (Eddie) and Susan Fulcher (Scott); son, Travis Coleman (Michelle); daughter-in-law, Ann Coleman; grandchildren, Billy Fulcher, Trinity Rigney, Charles Lawrence, Heather Coleman and Robbie Coleman; and great-grandchildren, Savannah Lawrence, Avery Lawrence, Ava Rigney, Haley Coleman and Remington Coleman.

The funeral will be Monday, November 22, 2021, at 2:00 P.M at Mayo Baptist Church with Pastor Ricky Bates officiating. Burial will follow at Mayo Baptist Church cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday November 21, 2021 from 4:00 P.M. to 5:30 P.M at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
