Lewis Jovon Rumley

Lewis Jovon Rumley, 42, of Fieldale, Virginia passed away Saturday, November 20, 2021. He was born February 9, 1979, in Rocky Mount, Virginia to James Edward Rumley and Alice Holland Rumley. He attended New Bethel Christian Church and was a graduate of Bassett High School. He was the owner and operator of L. J. Rumley Trucking Company. He was a member of Flaming Knights Motorcycle Club and loved spending time with his children.

He was preceded in death by a son, Lewis Jovon Rumley, Jr.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Heidi Roberts Rumley; daughter, Loveaya Rumley; sons, Mason Ashworth, Nasere Rumley, and Devon Stovall; sisters, Jamica Joyce (Jeff) and Aaroa Hairston (Nicholas); brothers, James Edward Rumley, II (Jennifer), Brandon Rumley (Melissa) and Jordan Thomas.

A funeral will be held Friday, December 3, 2021, at 12:30 PM at Carver Assembly Building. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Holland Family Cemetery, Fieldale, Virginia. A floating visitation will be Thursday, December 2, 2021, from 12 Noon until 6:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
