Imogene Burnett Preston

Imogene Burnett Preston, 79, of Martinsville, passed away Tuesday, November 23, 2021, at her home. She was born May 22, 1942 in Martinsville, to the late John Burnett, Jr. and Lelia Spencer Burnett. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Glen and Calbert Burnett.

She had been a homemaker most of her life, and was a member of Meadow Christian Church where she was very active in helping with the church’s activities. She enjoyed playing the piano, planting flowers, baking, taking pictures and helping the community.

Mrs. Preston is survived by her husband, Gale Edward Preston; daughter, Robin Preston; son, Edward Preston (Stephanie); sister, DeLois Moore; and grandchildren, Kayla and Trevor Preston.

The funeral will be Sunday, November 28, 2021 1:00 PM at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow the service at Carver Memorial Gardens.
