Carl Leon Linkous

Carl Leon Linkous, of Roanoke, was born on May 1, 1947 and departed his earthly home on December 2, 2021 after a courageous hard-fought battle with esophageal cancer.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving and devoted caretaker and wife of 55 years, Bonnie Vaught Linkous; three daughters and their families, Loretta and John Prillaman, Crystal and Don Asmussen, Donna Thomas and Mike Tate; twelve grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one special “adopted” great grandson.  He also leaves behind a host of sisters and in-laws, and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at 11 a.m. at East Hill Cemetery, Salem, VA.  The family would like to thank the staff of Kindred at Home and Good Samaritan Hospice for their compassion and care.
