Joan Johns Long

Joan Johns Long, 75, of Roanoke went home on Tuesday, November 30, 2021. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maxine Amos Johnson; son, Craig Benton Long; and brother, Jeffrey Johns.

She is survived be her husband, Johnnie R. Long; daughter, Amy Long Martin; granddaughters, Isabelle Long and Braelyn Martin; and many loving cousins and friends.

Joan loved her husband very much. She was known to say, "For my age I've had a good run and I am so glad to have my husband and family by my side." Her wishes were granted that she got to go home during her last days.

The family will have a Memorial Service on Sunday, December 12, 2021 at 1:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home, with a Visitation from 12pm-1pm.

In leiu of flowers donations can be made to Unity Church, New Covenant Christian Church, or to the SPCA.
