Irma Weddle Lyle Bayse
On December 3, 2021 Irma Weddle Lyle Bayse, 102, of Salem, passed peacefully in her sleep from this life into her heavenly home to be with Christ. A longtime resident of Salem, Va. Irma was born in Willis, Va. to the late Elza and Etta Weddle on May 23, 1919. Despite her large family, Irma always made time for everyone and loved unconditionally. She retired of dedicated service from Eli Lilly but never slowed down in her active life. Irma loved to socialize with friends, be with her children and many grandchildren and she loved to travel and stay active. She was a member of Faith Central Fellowship in Salem, Va. and was a beautiful example of a loving and faithful Christian.
Irma was predeceased by her husband Robert C. Bayse, daughter Colene Summers (Bobby), son Wally Lyle, stepdaughter Peggy Hale, son in law Donald Hill, grandson Steve Summers, grandson Frankie Hale and three brothers.
Those left to cherish her memory; son Chester Lyle; stepson Danny Bayse (Kate); daughter Shelby Brown (Delane), daughter in law Peggy Lyle; grandsons Robbie Hale, Chris Hill (Crissy), Kevin Brown and Daniel Bayse; granddaughters, Penny Garrison, Kim Hackett (Keith) and Seeley Bayse; 4 great-grandchildren; 7 great great-grandchildren, 1 great great great-grandchild; numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and in-laws.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Lotz Funeral Home Salem, Va. with a service to follow on Wednesday, December 8, 2021, 2 p.m. at Lotz Salem Chapel with Pastor Mike Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Lawn Memorial Park in Roanoke, Va.
