Lawrence Monroe Duncan

Lawrence Monroe Duncan, 90, of Collinsville, Va. passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021. He was born in Floyd County, Virginia February 16, 1931 to Wyatt Lynch Duncan and Maude Akers Duncan.
In addition to his parents, Lawrence was preceded in death by all of his siblings; brother Asa Duncan and sisters, Ethel Viers, Roxie Martin, Inez Vaught, Danie Mannon and Eula Farmer.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years Janice; sons, Earl Duncan (Paula) and Elden Duncan and; grandchildren, Tiffany Duncan, Elaina Richardson (John), Julie Anna (Caleb), Aaron Duncan, and Evan Duncan.
Lawrence was a faithful member of Temple Baptist Church. He loved watching NASCAR races and bluegrass music. He was employed as a truck driver for National Homes for nearly 28 years and later worked as a security guard for American Standard Homes.
A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, December 9, 2021 at Henry Memorial Burial Park and will be officiated by Pastor Don Reynolds.
