Regina Thomas Gipson

Regina Thomas Gipson, 70, of Martinsville, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, at her residence. She was born January 2, 1951, in Martinsville, to the late Junious Washington Thomas and Pattie Spencer Thomas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Richmond Gipson; brothers, Harry Spencer, Howard Thomas; sister, Jassie Watkins.
Mrs. Gipson enjoyed playing bingo, watching soap operas, eating chicken, playing cards, and spending time with family and friends.
She is Survived by her daughter, Vera Thomas; son, William Conner (Elizabeth); sisters, Yvonger Penn, Vera Reynolds (Roy), Renniette Hairston, Velma Joyce, Macie Florence, and Vivian Thomas; brothers, Melvin Thomas (Margaret), Lander Thomas, and Marshall Thomas (Mary); grandchildren; Keosha Thomas, Dwayzha Taylor, Delaino Thomas, Elijah Fields, and Katelyn Conner; great-grandchildren, Jordyn Thomas, Jaedyn Moore, Jalayah Thomas, and Zharonn Taylor; step-granddaughter, Christy Hodge; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
The funeral will be Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 12:00 Noon, at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with Elder George Farris officiating. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park, in Spencer, Virginia. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
The family will also be receiving friends and other family members at the residence of a sister, Velma Joyce, 355 Trott Circle, Martinsville, Virginia 24112. The family requests that you wear a mask.
