Henry Lee Hairston

Mr. Henry Lee Hairston, age 72 of Spencer, passed away Sunday, December 29, 2024 at Blue Ridge Therapy Connection in Stuart. He was born in Henry County on October 6, 1952. Mr. Hairston was preceded in death by his mother, Geneva Redd; a son, Gene Glenn; and a daughter, Areica Hairston Pritt.

Mr. Hairston is survived by his wife, Barbara Hairston of the home; four children, Jarvis Glenn (Deborah) of Spencer, Cynthia Glenn of Patrick Springs, Samantha Hairston of Ridgeway and Tyrone Glenn of Martinsville; seven grandchildren, Antwain Glenn, Sierra Glenn, Daysha Glenn, DaQuan Glenn, Isabella Reed (Holden), Elise Glenn and Lily Pritt; a sister, Darcine Pembroke of New York; and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held for Mr. Hairston on Friday, January 3, 2025 at 1:00 p.m. in Tatum Macedonia Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery with Elder Manuel Jessup officiating. Mr. Hairston will lie in state Thursday, January 2, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.
