Stacey Lamesha Menefee

Stacey Lamesha Menefee, 44, of Bassett, passed away on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at her home. She was born on October 3, 1977 in Henry County to Mary Shelton Menefee and the late Lewis D. Menefee. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by grandmother’s, Mary Shelton and Joanne Menefee; and grandfather’s, Ben F. Shelton and Richard Hairston.

Stacey graduated from Bassett High School in 1996 and Ashford University. She was a member of Inner Faith Fellowship Ministries and Paradise Cathedral.

Stacey in addition to her mother, is survived by daughters, De’Mari Monique Menefee and Shaniyah Brenae Menefee; brother, Steve Menefee (Nicole); nieces, Beyoncé Menefee and Bryanna Menefee; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 to 12:30 pm on Thursday, January 6, 2022 Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where a funeral service will be conducted at 12:30 pm with Bishop Frank E. Toney, Jr. and Bishop Joseph Mayo officiating. Burial will follow the funeral service at Carver Memorial Gardens.

Due to the governor’s requirements for COVID 19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing should be observed when visiting the funeral home.
