Louise Frances Bledsoe

June 2, 1925 - January 1, 2022

Louise Frances Bledsoe, 96, of Stanleytown, passes away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at her home. She was born on June 2, 1925 in Rocky Mount, Virginia to the late George W. Chitwood and the late Lizzie Irene Hall Chitwood. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husband, James Jack Bledsoe; grandchildren, Roy James, Anthony and Abigale Grace; brothers, Calvin Chitwood, Walter Chitwood and Elwood Chitwood; and sister, Shirley Hensley.

Louise was a member of Thomasson Height Baptist Church for thirty six years.

Louise is survived by son, Jim Bledsoe; daughters, Sue Owens (Johnny), Kathy Bledsoe and Patsy Sanchez; grandchildren, Kim, Pepper, Mike (Jamie), Carlos (Blem) and Sarah; great grandchildren, Cody (Britnay), Jasmine, Mason, Britan, Addie, Silas, Cayden, Bella and Ethan; great great grandchild, Dawson and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 4, 2022 at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel. A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, January 5, 2022 at Schoolfield Cemetery in Danville with Pastor Wayne Fulcher officiating. Burial to follow service.

Due to the governor’s requirements for COVID 19, a face covering is recommended and social distancing should be observed when visiting the funeral home.
