May Seay

May Seay, 88, of Bassett, passed away on Saturday, January 1, 2022 at her home.  She was born on May 30, 1933 in Bassett to the late Jacob Morton Dudley Huff and the late Elizabeth Matilda Hall Huff.  She was also preceded in death by daughter, Libby Seay; son, James Jacob Seay; and brothers, Bobby Huff and Mickey Holt.  May worked at Pannel, Stanley, Sales Knitting (Tultex), Friendly Restaurant and Oak Grove Motel and Restaurant.  She was a member of Oak Level Baptist Church.
May is survived by her husband of 72 years married December 20, 1949, Stacey L. Seay, Sr.; daughters, Teresa Lawson (David), Allison Seay, Stacey Keatts (Ricky) and Sara Seay; sons, Buck Seay and Marshall Seay (Lois) and sisters, Sallie Walls and Frances Ingram.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm on Friday, January 7, 2022 at Bassett Funeral Service Chapel where a funeral will be conducted at 12:00 pm with Pastor Joe Glass officiating.  Burial will follow the funeral service at Henry Memorial Gardens.  Donations may be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association, 355 Rio Road West, Suite 102, Charlottesville, VA  22901.
