Ellen Adams Midkiff

Ellen Adams Midkiff, 81, of Bear Creek Road, Red House, died Saturday, January 15, 2022, at her residence. She was the wife of the late William Thomas Midkiff.
Born in Spout Spring, Va., on May 27, 1940, she was a daughter of the late Chaplin W. Adams and Lena Bates Adams. She was a member of Salem United Methodist Church and attended Providence Baptist Church.
She is survived by two daughters, Kymberley Midkiff Mills and Khrysti Midkiff Spencer and husband, Jason all of Red House; six grandchildren, Brandon Wade Mills, Russell Bennett Franklin III, Harleigh Claire Franklin, Justin Cole Spencer and wife, Katrina, Morgan Elizabeth Spencer, and Nicholas Gunnar Nelson; two great-grandchildren, Callen Gray Nelson and Jaxon Levi Spencer; a sister, Sara Adams Harris and husband, John; and a niece, Sherri Godsey and husband, Kendell and their son, Kody Godsey and wife, Alyssa. Ellen had a very special caregiver, Debbie Newcomb and a best friend, Frieda Marston, both of whom she loved dearly.
A graveside funeral service will be held 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 19, 2022, at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery officiated by Pastor Duane Seagle. The family will receive friends in the church one hour prior to the service and at other times at the home of Khrysti and Jason Spencer.
