Dovie Clark Adams

Dovie Clark Adams, age 102 of Collinsville, Virginia passed away on January 16, 2022. She was born in Patrick County, Virginia on February 9, 1919 to the late William Clark and the late Susie Morrison Clark. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Noel M. Adams, a daughter, Barbara A. Purcell, a granddaughter, Margaret Cameron, three sisters; Josie C. Jackson, Beattie Morrison, Clemens Willard, two brothers; Monroe Clark and Starle Clark. She was employed by Fieldcrest Mills for 28 years. She was a member of Fieldale Baptist Church.
Mrs. Adams is survived by one daughter, Betty A. Plaster (Leon) of Halifax, Virginia, three granddaughters, Susan Stanley, Cindy Simrill and Robin Kopekin, son-in-law, Alec Purcell of Mercer Island, Washington and adopted brother, Albert Morrison of Patrick County.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, January 29, 2022 at 2:00 PM from Collins Funeral Home Chapel, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, Virginia with interment to follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service from 1:00 to 2:00 PM.
