Mary St. Clair Whitt

Mary St.Clair Whitt 92, of Roanoke passed away Sunday March 10, 2019 .
 
She was born in Huntington WVA. One of 10 children. She was later raised in Giles County and then spent most of her adult life in Roanoke Va. She is proceeded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Ray Whitt Sr., also her parents William Cecil St.Clair and wife Nannie Belle, and one grandson, Matthew Woods.
 
She is survived by one sister Sue Mimi Long, a son Chuck Woods, and wife Sue, daughter Nancy Lusk and husband Steve, Son, Thomas Whitt Jr. and wife Teresa, numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
 
She enjoyed years of membership with the Jaycees and Hidden Valley Country Club, where she and her husband enjoyed playing golf and socializing with friends. Mary had many interests but she especially enjoyed home making and gardening, especially with her roses.  She also had a special interest in artwork, and enjoyed painting with water colors.

A memorial service will be held on March 16th at 1:00 at Evergreen Burial Park in the Chapel of Light, with Pastor Mike Lauridsen officiating, where she will be laid to rest with her husband of 54 years.
