Brenda Kaye Martin

Brenda Kaye Martin, 60, of Fieldale, Virginia passed away Tuesday, March 8, 2022, at her home. She was born January 11, 1962, in Henry County, Virginia to Almarine Finney Martin and the late Jesse Lester Martin. She was a member of Rock Run Primitive Baptist Church for over thirty years and was a graduate of Fieldale Collinsville High School. Brenda had been employed by Bassett Walker. She served as a member of the Bassett High School Booster Club for over fifteen years.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, JaQurion Hairston; grandparents, Moses Winston and Mary Lee Finney, Columbus and Martha Martin.

She is survived by daughters, Tiffany Martin, Tacara Kaye Martin, Tamara Faye Hairston (Curtis) and Tierra Martin; son, Jaylen Martin; sisters, Linda Faye Hairston (Louis), Berta Martin, Charlene Martin, Mary Fran Carter, Robin McQueen and Carolyn Preston (Michael); brother, Jonathan Manning; grandchildren, TreQuan Hairston, JaRicous Hairston, Jessanie Martin, Janicia Hairston, Jerryian Martin, Jamarion Hairston and Jaela Hairston.

The funeral will be Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at 1:00 P. M. at Carver Assembly Building with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Finney Family Cemetery, Fieldale, Virginia. A floating visitation will be held on Monday, March 14, 2022, from 12 Noon to 5:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel.
