Harry Lee Wells

Harry Lee Wells, 79, of Martinsville, Virginia passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2022, at the home of his daughter. He was born September 23, 1942, in Bassett, Virginia to the late James Dennis Wells and Mary Ann Preston Wells. He retired from J. D. Bassett Furniture Factory. He enjoyed music, car shows, riding, fast cars and loved to dress up.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Geneva Saunders; son, Corey Wells; sisters, Alice Wells Reynolds, Shirley Ann Wells Reynolds, Alberta Loretta Wells and Georgia Mae Hairston.

He is survived by daughters, Harriet Melvin (Tim), Karen Smith and April Millner; sons, Roderick Wells, Michael Wells (Shirley) and Ronnie Via (Veronica); sister Bonnie Powell (Bruce); brothers, Bobby Wells (Juanita) and James Wells (Dorothy); former wife and friend, Naydene Wells; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends.

A funeral will be Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 12:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel. Visitation will be thirty minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow at Fair Haven Memorial Park.
