Eugene "Jim" Mose Collins, Jr.

EUGENE (“JIM”) MOSE COLLINS, 82, of Pearisburg, VA, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2022. He was born May 28, 1939 in Giles County, VA, the son of the late Eugene, Sr. & Kate Kitts Collins.
“Jim” was a special caretaker for his mother and his wife. He enjoyed tinkering with mowers and weed eaters. He loved all animals.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene Mose, Sr. & Ella Kate Kitts Collins, and his sisters, Polly Hager and Emily Johnson.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 27 years, Masel Carner Collins; his stepdaughters, Brenda Sink and Freda Conner; his stepson & daughter-in-law, Douglas & Sandra Johnson; his sister, Mary Havens; many nieces and nephews and special friends and a special cat companion, “Kitty.”
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 20, 2022 at 3:00 P.M. at A. Vest & Sons Funeral Home Chapel, White Gate, with Pastor Dwayne Martin officiating. Burial will follow in the Walker’s Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 P.M. until service time, 3:00 P.M.
