Autumn Elizabeth Cunningham
Autumn was born in Henry County, Virginia, and graduated from Franklin County High School with the Class of 2003. During her school years, she developed a love for music, learning to play both the flute and the keyboard. She later worked as a Wardrobe Consultant for Creative Expressions Photography, where she enjoyed helping others look and feel their best.
Autumn possessed an immeasurable love for animals. Throughout her life, she cared for countless beloved pets, treating each one as family. Her cat, Jax, held a particularly special place in her heart and remained her faithful companion for many years.
Autumn found joy in life’s simple adventures. She loved riding motorcycles, the excitement of fast cars, and spending time in nature. Waterfalls filled her with wonder, and the quiet beauty of willow trees brought her a sense of peace. She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, compassionate heart, and the love she freely gave to her family, friends, and pets.
After enduring a long and difficult hardship with declining physical and mental health, Autumn lost her struggle on July 4, 2026. While her battle ended far too soon, her family finds comfort in remembering the love, laughter, and memories they shared with her throughout her life.
Autumn is survived by her loving fiancé, Blake Matthews; her mother, Deborah Gail Cunningham; her father, Gino Earl Cunningham; her sister, Amanda Gail Eanes; her brother, Shane Cunningham and wife, Samantha Cunningham; her sister-in-law, Alisha Eanes; her nephews, Gavin Trent and husband, James Moser, Bryce Byrd, Logan Mann, Hunter Eanes, and Liam Eanes; her Uncles, Jimbo Hensley and Danny Hensley along with many extended family members, dear friends, and loved ones who will forever cherish her memory.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Carlton Eugene Eanes III; her nephew, Holden Eanes; her maternal grandmother, Linda Hensley; her maternal great-grandmother, Rachel Jennings; her paternal grandmother, Ninfa Maria Steriale; and her paternal grandfather, Alfred Winfield Cunningham.
Though our hearts are broken by her passing, we take comfort in knowing that love never ends. Autumn’s memory will continue to live on in the lives she touched, the stories we share, and the love that remains with us always.
