Avis Inez Davis, 78, of Ridgeway, Virginia passed away Wednesday, November 23, 2022.She was born February 16, 1944, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Marvin Hodges, and Mary Christine Hodges. Avis was of the of the Baptist faith. She was employed by Sheppard Furniture Company for 30 years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Davis, Jr.; sister, Phyllis Darrah; and brother, Robert Hodges. She is survived by her daughters, Donna R. Bryant, Janet Barlow; son, Donald Wayne Stratton, Jr.; sister, Mary Robertson; brother, Johnny Hodges; grandchildren, Brian Riddle, Christopher L. Cope; great grandchildren, Bradin Isley, Daylyn Isley, Gavyn Cope, and Colton Cope. All services will be private.
