Barbara Adkins Holley

Barbara Adkins Holley, 83, passed away on November 6, 2023. She was born on June 14, 1940, to the late Bertha Doss Adkins and the late Carrett D. Adkins. She was predeceased by her late husband John Leonard Holley.

Barbara was a member of Westover Pentecostal Holiness Church. She worked as an office manager at Roman Eagle Nursing Home for 32 years prior to her retirement. She was a wonderful wife, mom, nannie, and an amazing Christian lady.

She is survived by her daughters; Julie H. Carlisle (Kenny) of Danville, VA., Sherry H. Wallace (Allen) of Danville, VA., sister; Jean A. Foster of Danville, VA., seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents and husband, she is predeceased by a son; Danny R. Hundley, one sister; Mary A. Herndon, two brothers; Carrett D. Adkins Jr. and James Noel Adkins.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 11, 2023, at 2:00PM at Norris Mt. Hermon Chapel Danville, VA. with Pastor Steven White officiating.

Prior to the service, the family will receive friends at Norris Funeral Services from 12:30 PM to 1:45 PM.
