Barbara Dean Dillon

Barbara Sue Dean Dillon went to be with her Heavenly Father, August 16, 2026. Barbara was a loving Partner, Mother, Grandmother, and Friend. Barbara resided in Sutton, West Virginia. She had a career as a rural postal carrier before retirement.

Barbara will be dearly loved and missed by all who knew her. Barbara earned her wings many times over, with her gentle nature and compassionate ways. She is survived by her spiritual Husband William Summerfield; daughter LeAnn Adkins; grandchildren, Selena Belle Adkins, Kylee Adkins, Alyssa Adkins, Josie Bissell, Shelby Bissell, Makayla Dillon, and Jessie Dillon; sister-in-laws Annie Dean and Garnet Taylor; beloved fur baby Bunny; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her late husband Cameron "Buddy" Dillon; father Everett Dean; loving mother Annie Belle Dean; brothers, Donald Dean Sr., Everett Dean Jr., and Jack Taylor; and sadly her son Joshua Allen Adkins.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Franklin Cemetery in Branchland Lincoln County West Virginia. Arrangements by Simpson Funeral Home Peters Creek Road Chapel. (540)366-0707.
