Barbara Gutzwiller Jones

Barbara G. Jones, 79, of Roanoke, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2026. She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Ruth Gutzwiller; beloved twin sons, Thomas Jones and Robert Jones; brothers, Thomas Gutzwiller and Gerald Gutzwiller; bother-in-law, Richard Rieman; grandfather, Thomas Reardon; and very close friend, Joe Yosafat.

Barbara is survived by her son, David Jones (Andrea); daughter, Susan J. Badger (Andre); grandchildren, Kayla Jones (Claudia), Bryce Jones, and Ryan Jones; brother, Robert Gutzwiller (Elnora); sisters, Marcia Kerr, Virginia Rieman, and Lauren Morgan; many nieces and nephews; and very best friend, Carol Yosafat.

The family will have a Visitation on Wednesday, July 1 from 6:00-8:00pm at Simpson Funeral Home, 5160 Peters Creek Rd. Roanoke, VA 24019. A Chapel Service will be held on Thursday, July 2 at 10:00am also at the Funeral Home and then processing to Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens.
