Barbara Jean Fisher Doyle

Barbara Jean Fisher Doyle, 88, of Salem, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, March 13, 2025.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Charlotte Fisher; grandson, Tony Thompson; brothers, Jesse and Raymond Fisher; and sister, Lillian Bott.

Her surviving family includes her husband, Sam Harold Doyle; first husband, Theodore Blankenship; four children, Shirley Thompson (Billy), William Blankenship, Ted Blankenship (Donna), and Dianna Stanley; eight grandchildren, Bryan Blankenship, Kelly Cook, Melissa Meade, Bill Thompson, Josh Blankenship, Amanda Casteriana, Zachary Stanley, and Celia Williams; nine great-grandchildren; four brothers; and two sisters.

Family members and friends may gather from 12 to 2 p.m. on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, at the John M. Oakey & Son Chapel in Salem, Va. A funeral service will then begin at 2 p.m. with Pastor Brian Gordon officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Sherwood Memorial Park.
