Barbara Larch Hayes

Barbara Ellen Larch Hayes, 93, of Buchanan, passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026 in Newport, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, James John Larch and Elvira Julia Lester Larch; husband, Harold William Hayes Jr.; sons, James Harold Hayes and Robert Martin Hayes: sisters, Jacqueline Grimes, Patricia Ann Camper, and Mary Joan Hoppe. Barbara loved flowers of all types, walking, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Janice and Dickie Sprinkle of Buchanan; sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Clare Hayes of Mercersburg, PA, Randall and Donna Hayes of Harkers Island, NC; sister, James Julia Harris of Buchanan; and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. A graveside service will be held Saturday, May 23, 2026 at 11:00 am at Mill Creek Cemetery.
