Barbara Marlowe Wilson

Barbara Marlowe Wilson, 69, of Martinsville, Va. passed away Thursday, October 15, 2026. She was born in Danville, Va. April 20, 1957, to Basil Alvin Marlowe and Virginia Shelton Marlowe.

She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bobby” Woodrow Wilson; daughters, Tina W. Alderman (Brandon), Bethany Murray, and Wendy McCrosson; grandchildren, Anya Alderman, Aurora Alderman and Samara Alderman; and her half-sister Carol Daskus (Joe).

She loved her family and especially her grandchildren. She was a very supportive dance grandma, who really loved watching her granddaughters in their dance recitals. She also enjoyed going on cruises with Bobby. Barbara was a member of Temple Baptist Church.

She worked as a medical transcriptionist.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at McKee-Stone Funeral Home. A funeral service will held at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, October 21, 2026, at McKee-Stone Funeral Home and will be officiated by Pastor Don Reynolds. Interment will follow in Henry Memorial Burial Park.
