Barbara Penn

Barbara Penn, 60, of Martinsville, Virginia, passed away Tuesday, March 19,2024. She was born February 9, 1964, in Martinsville, Virginia, to the late Leroy Carter and Sarah Hairston.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Walter Hairston.Barbara was a member of True Gospel Holiness Church. She was a graduate of Martinsville High School and was a dedicated employee of Nationwide Homes for more than eight years doing Final Finish.She is survived by daughters, Keyona Edwards (James), Ashanta Grey; son, Aaron Penn (Jessica); sister, Rhonda Hairston; and five grandchildren.The funeral will be held Saturday, March 30, 2024, at 12:30 PM at Refuge Temple Holiness Church with Pastor Leander Reynolds officiating. The burial will follow at True Gospel Holiness Church located at 2931 Spencer-Preston Road, Martinsville, Virginia 24112.
