Barry Elton Cundiff

Barry Elton Cundiff, 65, of Glade Hill, VA passed away unexpectedly on Monday, June 1, 2026. He is preceded in death by his father, Elton Cundiff; and in-laws, Hugh and Rebecca McCall. Surviving are his wife of 37 wonderful years, Cindy Cundiff; four daughters, Katelin Montgomery, Carrie Ramey (Bobby), Kasey Greer (Ryan) and Caroline Johnson (Hunter); grandchildren, Ryan and Zander Ramey, Charlee and Kemper Montgomery; mother, Alexis Cundiff; sister, Amanda Brooks (Merriman); special nephew, Andrew Brooks; special uncle, Ned Cundiff; nieces; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Barry was a devoted husband, daddy, and papa who loved his wife, daughters, and grandchildren with all of his heart. He was a farmer for over 50 years and a truck driver hauling milk for 20 years. He was a life time member of Glade Hill Volunteer Fire Department. Many may remember him as Santa Claus. Making children smile while sitting on his lap brought him great joy. Barry will be forever remembered for his unwavering integrity, wisdom, and love for his family. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Glade Hill Volunteer Fire Department (P.O. Box 14 Glade Hill, VA 24092). Funeral services will be held at Glade Hill Baptist Church, 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 5, 2026 with Rev. David Long and Rev. Kevin Howerton officiating. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. His family will receive friends 5-8 p.m. Thursday at the Church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
