Barry Russell Easom

Barry Russell Easom Sr., of Danville, Virginia passed away on June 5, 2024, at the age of 73 at his residence. He was born on March 29, 1951 to the parents of the late Beatrice Addie Cassidy Easom and the late John Junior Easom. He was also predeceased by his siblings; Ronald Lee Easom, John David Easom, and Nancy Lillian Easom Powell, and also a nephew, Mr. Michael Powell.

Barry was of the Baptist faith, and a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. He was a devoted, loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was a great man and hard worker. He enjoyed building things and helping others. He loved gardening, watching sports, and spending time with his family. You could always count on him to be there for anything.

On May 18, 1971, he married Barbara Anne Wilson Easom, who survives. In addition, he is also survived by his four children, Ronald Lee Easom, Ricky Wade Easom (Vickie Brock Easom), Barry Russell Easom Jr. and Jamie Anne Easom Hazelwood (Charles Michael); a sister; Debra Kay Easom; 14 grandchildren; Andrew Meade, Samatha Slate, Charity Easom Wellborn (Michael), Austin Easom (Quinn), Abbigail Hazelwood, John Easom, Allison Hazelwood, Hope Easom, Faith Easom, Nicholas Hazelwood, Alexis Easom, Michael Hazelwood, Tessie Hazelwood, Makayla Hazelwood; five great grandchildren; Ashton Roush, Kayden Wellborn, Nicholas Meade, Claire Meade, and Emory Easom; three nephews; James Webb, Timothy Webb, and Justin Webb;

A Celebration of Life Service will be held on at Norris Funeral Services, Inc., Mt. Hermon Chapel, 3995 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, VA with pastor Bill Soyars officiating.
