Beatrice "Bea" Chambers Chaplik

Beatrice “Bea” Chambers Chaplik, age 92 of Hollins, passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Bea was born October 27, 1930 in Wyatt, West Virginia and lived in the Roanoke area the past 30 years. She was the daughter of the late George R. and Gladys E. West Pickens. Bea was a homemaker and enjoyed quilting, playing golf, bowling, and bird watching.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husbands: Marvin E. Chambers Sr. and Nicholas Chaplik; and her son, Roy E. Chambers, Sr. Bea is survived by her son, Marvin E. (Vickie) Chambers Jr. of Blue Ridge; daughters: Nancy L. Roberts of Salem, Judy L. Garrett of Hollins, and Ann E. (Steve) Ford of Richmond; ten grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; her brother, Gene (Linn) Pickens of Georgia; sisters: Deloris Minor of West Virginia and Carol (Ed) Morrissey of Florida.

A celebration of Bea’s life will be 2:00 pm Friday, December 30 at Rader Funeral Home, 630 Roanoke Road Daleville with Ben Peyton officiating. Burial will be at Godwin Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service Friday.
