Belinda Sue Basham, age 73 of Moneta, died Saturday, December 24, 2022 at home. She was born August 22, 1949. She was preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Price; and grandmother, Evelyn Bradford. Belinda worked for Moneta Dress Factory, Emtech Laboratory and was co-owner of Westlake Nursery with her husband, Dale. She was an angel, blessing and hero to so many. She loved and cared for so many in her life. She took pride in making others happy and helping those in their time of need. She was known for being selfless, caring and generous. She always had a kind word for those she encountered. Her smile was contagious and her heart was full of love. She had the kindest and sweetest soul. Her faith in Christ was as strong as anyone we know. She attended Rocky Mount Church of God and volunteered her time in the church pantry. She took pride in her cooking and enjoyed sharing that gift with others. Her presence was a blessing to so many. Belinda is survived by her beloved husband, Dale Basham; daughters, Candi Basham and her fiancé, Rodger, Crystal Basham and her partner, Jonathan Wilkinson, Sindy Hurst and her husband, Ron; son, Scott Riffe and his wife, Abby; step-son, Brad Basham and his wife, Heather; sisters, Ann Jones and Raynelle Shipley; 11 grandchildren, Brittney and Summer Hurst, Savannah Thompson, Matthew and Hunter Riffe, Hannah and Noah Basham, Maddie and Mackenzie Widener, Caleb Bigart and David Wilkinson; two great-grandchildren, Riley King and Naomi Hurst; in-laws, Bob and Ann Basham, Davis and Penny Basham, Tim Basham and Darlene Basham; many friends and extended family. A special thank you to Gentiva Hospice and the excellent care provided to our angel. Funeral services will be conducted at Rocky Mount Church of God, 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 28, 2022 with Pastor Robert Meredith and Pastor Travis Gore officiating. Interment will follow in Epworth Church Cemetery. Her family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Arrangements by Flora Funeral Service and Cremation Center, Rocky Mount.
