Berman "B.P." Hare

Berman “B.P.” Patrick Hare, 85 of Bastian, VA., formerly of Narrows, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 24, 2026. Berman was born on June 17, 1941, in Narrows, VA., and was a son of the late James Lawson Hare and Clarice Evelyn McCoy Hare. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Billie Cole Hare, son, Jeffrey Hare, 2 brothers, Perry Hare and Arthur Hare and 1 sister, Alice Jean Gunter.

A believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, B.P. was a retired truck driver with over 50 years of service. He was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan and watching NASCAR on TV. He was known for his wit and charm.

He is survived by 2 daughters, Deirdre Jacobson (Neil) of New York City, NY, Sherri L. Hare of Amelia, VA, Anthony Hare of Amelia, VA. 3 brothers, Preston Hare (Alice) of Rocky Gap, VA, Paul Hare of Narrows, VA, and Larry Hare of Narrows.

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, at 2pm, at the Givens – Riffe Funeral Chapel in Narrows.
