Betty Alderman Earles

Betty Alderman Earles, 88, of Fieldale, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2024, at the Joan & Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Betty Born on March 28, 1936, to the late Luther Emery Alderman and Lola Conner Alderman. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in by her husband, Douglas Earles; brother, Raymond Alderman, and sister, Geneva Alderman Jenkins.

Betty retired from DuPont, where she took great pride in her work. She had a special love for Dr. Pepper and Kool-Aid, but cherished the time spent with family and friends most of all.

She is survived by her one sister: Lydia Margret Shockley; three special nieces Linda Quesenberry, Debbie Jarels, and Karen Witcher; one nephew, Freddie Shockley; three great nieces, Kelli Liddle, Alyssa Wolfe and Kristy Markham; great nephew, Austin Witcher, and a host of other family and friends.

The family extends special thanks to Marie Joyce for her loving care and attention during Betty’s final years.

A funeral service will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 12:00pm, at the Bassett Funeral Service Chapel, with Pastor Jason Alverson officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service, and interment will follow at Topeco Cemetery.
