Betty Jean Beeler Crawford

Betty Jean Beeler Crawford, 92, peacefully passed from this world to her heavenly home on Thursday, May 16, 2024.

Born to the late James Harvey Beeler and Virginia Lee Via Beeler, Friday, November 13, 1931.

Betty was a proud graduate of Andrew Lewis High School, class of 1951. She loved sharing a hearty laugh and looked forward to a picnic lunch with her parents and Jack, and dancing joyfully in heaven.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Jackson “Jack” Crawford; and grandson, Thomas Jackson “T.J.” Montgomery.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Stephen Crawford (Karen), Mich Peters (Randy), Kelly Crawford (Cookie), and Sandra “Sandy” Montgomery; grandchildren, Andrea, Terry, Eric, Jennifer, Julie, Christopher, Troy, and Riley; as well as nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 20, 2024, at the John M. Oakey & Son Funeral Home in Salem, with Pastor Everett Kier officiating. A burial will follow at Sherwood Memorial Park in Salem.

Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the service in the funeral home chapel.
