Betty Jean Foley Hall

Betty Jean Foley Hall of Bassett passed away on April 12, 2026, at Sovah Health Martinsville. She was born to the late Richard Samuel Foley and Josie Lou Law.

In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband, Raymond Hall, and her siblings, Royal Thomas Foley, Marie Foley Pennington, Wanda Foley, Beatrice Foley Crew Moye, Richard S. Foley, Jr., Calvin Coolidge Foley, Maxine Foley Neely Hall, Arlie Dorsey Foley, her twin brother Billy James Foley, and Stephen Red Foley.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving sister, Jo Ann Foley Thompson, along with a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly.

Betty was a devoted member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville, where she faithfully taught Sunday School for many years. She had a servant’s heart and was especially passionate about helping with jail ministry outreach. She loved West Virginia and treasured time spent with her family. Betty played a central role in keeping her family close through frequent gatherings and was a guiding spiritual influence, leading many of her nieces and nephews to the Lord.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 17, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Bassett Funeral Service, with visitation one hour prior to the service. Pastor Rakes will be officiating.

Betty will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her love for family, and the kindness she shared with all who knew her. Her legacy of faith and devotion will live on in the lives she touched.
