Betty Joyce Severt, 79, of Martinsville, VA passed away on Thursday, January 4th, 2024 at her home. She was born on June 24th, 1944 in Virginia to the late Thomas Harris, and Nellie Mae Harris.

Betty is survived by her husband, Jerry Don Severt; daughters, Donna Carter (Steven), Donna Clowers (Jeff), and Angie Murdock, son; Jerry Dean Severt, sister; Helen Jones (Bobby), brother; Charlie Harris (Jean), and grandchildren; Brandon Shively, Bobby Clowers, Crystal Carter, Stephen Clowers, and Shawn Clowers.

She was a faithful member of the Holy Ghost Field Church of Martinsville and worked in the medical field as a member of management.

Visitation will be held Monday, January 8th, 2024 from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Norris Funeral Services Martinsville Chapel. The funeral service will held at 2:00pm Monday, January 8th, 2024 following the visitation. Pastor Charlie Harris and Pastor Jerry Severt will officiate. Burial will follow the service at the Severt Family Cemetery in Axton, VA.
