Betty Lou Agee Walters

It is with a heavy heart that we announce Betty Lou Agee Walters has gained her angel wings on Monday June 9, 2025 from her home in Callaway. Betty Lou was born in Callaway, Virginia to the late Lewis and Minnie Agee. She was a loving and devoted wife to her late husband, Despain (Dee) Walters. She is predeceased by her loving grandson, Douglas (Doug) Young; her loving son-in-law, Dempsey Young, Jr.; her sister, Shirley Dillon; and her brother, Richard Agee.

Betty Lou is survived by her four daughters whom she loved and cherished, Lynette Young, Michelle Gibson, Tonya Semones (Tim) and Kim Sifers (Sam); step-children, Billy Walters (Sharon), Bobby Walters (Debbie), Janice Bowles (Rodney) and Blaine Walters (Helen); grandchildren, Christopher Young (Kelli), Stephanie Witcher, LeAnna Meador, Kristin Hric (George), Alyssa Dudek (Drew), Demetra Allen (Wayne) and Nathan Sifers; eight great-grandchildren with one on the way; her loving siblings, Wilton Agee (Faye) and Charlotte Davis; and many special nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a very special thank you to her daughter Michelle for the excellent and loving care she provided for our Mama. We would also like to thank Carilion Hospice Team and Marilyn Nichols for the loving and tender care afforded to our sweet Mama.

We will all remember her love of cooking, music and dancing, family gatherings, and her unwavering ability to hold her family together. Her family and friends will always cherish the memories.

The family will receive visitors at the home of her daughter Lynette: 3467 Bonbrook Mill Road, Boones Mill, VA 24065.

Visitation will be held at Flora Funeral Service on Wednesday, June 11, 2025 from 5 to 7 p.m. The funeral will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at 11 a.m. with Chaplain Rick Poland officiating. Interment will follow in Pigg River Cemetery.
