Beverly Lynette Bond

March 15, 1954 - March 27, 2024

On March 27, 2024 around 10:20 AM, with a smile on her face, family right there, and in the arms of
her son, Beverly Lynette Bond ran into her mamma's waiting arms in Heaven. We can only imagine
the reunion that was! Beverly was born March 15, 1954 to Nannie Pierce of Max Meadows. She
went to Fort Chiswell High School and Radford College. She later became a minister, who loved
life, her friends and family, and Jesus with all her being. Left to cherish her memory are her sons,
Orville and Amanda Hayes of Mocksville, NC, Charles Hayes of Christiansburg, VA, Ronald Hayes
of Galax, VA and her friend and caregiver who she always called the daughter she always wanted,
Shana Griffith of Christiansburg. She also cherished and bragged about her beloved grandchildren,
Sydney, Alex, and Ava Hayes, Jonathan and Travis Hayes, and her adopted grandkids who she
spoiled rotten, William, Onyia, Leighann and June. She also leaves behind many friends, including
her best friend of more than 20 years, Mary McNiel of Pulaski, who will miss her loving heart and
whitty ways. To know Bev was to love her.

The family would like to thank the staff at Alleghany Nursing and Rehab who were wonderful to Beverly. She loved living there and had many friends.

She would always say she was "out with the girls" when asked why she wasn't answering her
phone. Her roommate Jane was her very best friend. They were two peas in a pod and along with
Linda and Nancy would act like school girls when together, The Golden Girls as they were called.
Also a big thank you to Connections Hospice who were so caring for Beverly and the family during
her final days. The family would also like to thank the wonderful and caring staff at Lotz Funeral
Home in Roanoke. A celebration of life will be held at a later time.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Lotz Funeral Home 1001 Franklin Road SW Roanoke, VA 24016 to help offset the cost of her cremation, as she had no insurance.

"I'll love you forever, I'll like you for always, As long as I'm living, my mommy you'll be."
