Beverly Norman Shelton
B. Norman Shelton of Danville, VA, passed away on August 5, 2026, at the age of 85 after a 3-week decline in health. He was born on July 29, 1941, to the late Stella Daniel Shelton and Beverly Cable Shelton. He was married to the love of his life for 64 years, Shelby Holley Shelton, who survives him. He was a wonderful father to his sons Brian Shelton and Barry Shelton. He loved both so much and did everything he could do for them.
He was a chemical salesman for many years. He was employed by Prillaman Chemical Co., Univar, and Blue Ridge Solvents & Coatings, Inc. Norman attended North Main Pentecostal Holiness Church for 50 years. Nine years ago, he decided he wanted to go back to his childhood church, Emmanuel Pentecostal Holiness at Dryfork, VA.
In addition to his wife, Norman is survived by his sons Brian and Barry, brother-in-law Percey Taylor, sister-in-law Cindy Shelton, plus two other special sisters-in-law, Nancy King (Gary) and Boots Elliott, who visited him every Monday morning.
Along with his mother and father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Margie Taylor, and brother Paul Shelton.
The funeral service will be at Norris Funeral Services Mt. Hermon Chapel starting at 2:00 p.m. on August 8, 2026. The visitation will be beforehand at Norris Funeral Services Mt. Hermon Chapel from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Pastor Gerald Kelly will be officiating. Mr. Shelton will be buried at Highland Burial Park. The family will receive visitors at their residence.
