Bill Jarrett

Mr. Bill Wesley Jarrett, age 78, of Covington, died Monday, May 19, 2025, at the Brian Center Nursing Care, Low Moor. He was the husband of the late Sandra Jean Thompson Weiss Jarrett.
Mr. Jarrett was born September 19, 1942 in Waukegan, IL, the son of the late Orla Frank and Shirley Mae Cashmore Jarrett. Bill served his country as a member of the United States Army where he was stationed in Germany, Korea and the US Embassy in England, retiring after twenty-one years. Mr. Jarrett was also a certified master chef and following his time in service, he taught cooking at Jackson River Technical Center. Bill was a member of Temple Baptist Church.
Mr. Jarrett is survived by a sister, Cheryl McNeely of Wisconsin and a number of nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Jarrett was preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Dennis Jarrett and James Frank Jarrett and two sisters, Kathleen Marie Farmer and Patricia Mae McNeely.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 P.M., Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Those wishing to attend the service should assemble at Loving Funeral Home by 1:15 P.M.
The family suggests that memorial tributes take the form of contributions to Temple Baptist Church 300 Stratton Street, Covington, VA 24426 or the American Cancer Society, 9 East Church Avenue, Roanoke, VA 24011.
